2018 Rosebud Reservation Trip

Hi!  As you may have heard, I am part of a team from Fellowship Bible Church which will be heading to South Dakota Jun 16 - Jun 23.  This is a cross-cultural opportunity to express the authentic Christ to the Lakota Tribe on the Rosebud Reservation through a music/arts camp this year, including music theory, guitar instruction, expanded violin instruction, and story-telling.
My part will be to help with beginner guitar lessons.  I am SO EXCITED for this opportunity to get to be a part of this, this year!  I need some help though!
There are four ways you can help me if you feel led to do so!
  • Go to that same link above, and make a donation to my fund.  You will see a bar on the right-hand side of that page which will tell you how much I still am in need of to be able to go.
  • Come to my garage sale which is this Saturday, April 28th starting at 8:00am!  The address is 306 Bellview Road. Lowell, Arkansas.  We will be selling anything from books, toys, household items, electronics, children's (girls) clothes, Adult (women and men) clothes, and we will even have refreshments for sale as well!
  • If you'd like to mail a donation to me, please ask me for my address.
No matter how you are able to give, I just want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for being a part of making this experience possible.

All for Him,
Kareena Holloway

Are you living your legacy?

I was just reading a blog from a friend about the importance of living your legacy.  It got me to thinking about how serious I am about life, yet I didn't really have a definition for it until I read that blog post.  I just knew that I love my life had taken a serious change and that I would never be the same.  Read the comment:

"..People sometimes call me "intense" because I take life so seriously. Being redeemed from my hurts, hang ups, and habits has made me who I am today. I am well aware of the legacy that I am building with every breath that God gives to me and I do not take that lightly. I had A LOT of bad happen to me as a child, made some life-wrecking decisions as an adult, and finally woke up when I was at my own literal rock-bottom. I reached out, and God was there...just where He said He would be. I thank God for His grace, for my husband, and for the wonderful family I have in Celebrate Recovery. "

I don't know if I will ever be able to say enough for my gratitude, but I know that it's not really about me.  It's about the legacy that God has planned out for me as long as I do His will.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells me that God has a plan to prosper me and not harm me, to give me hope and a future.  How could I be so blessed?  How can any one of us be so blessed as to have this amazing Father in Heaven who will tear down mountains?  A Heavenly Father who loves us enough to bring us to our knees.  I have witnessed this first hand and will never forget what God has done for me.  Serving Him is the very least that I can do to show my gratitude.  This is how I live my legacy now and forever.

Living my legacy,
Kareena
